Animal and Customer Care Assistant
We are seeking two Animal and Customer Care Assistants to join our small and friendly team at our independent practice in Hartlebury. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support whilst also providing nursing support to our Vets and Nurses.
We are a proudly independent local vets opening this autumn. We aim to provide excellent patient and client care at all times, reduce stress to both pets and their people, and educate our clients of the importance and benefits of preventative healthcare.
Duties
– Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly manner
– Schedule appointments, answer phone calls and emails, process payments
– Support the vet and nursing team where required with patient care
– Assist with maintaining a clean and organised surgery (non-clinical and clinical)
– Admin responsibilities to support the practice director
Qualifications
– Previous experience in a veterinary practice or other animal-related industry is required
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Good level of computer literacy
– A compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
Exact hours to be discussed at interview but these are part time roles at present of 28.5 hours/week (based on full time of 37.5 hours/week). Monday-Friday shifts 8.30am-2pm and 1.30pm-7pm, and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am-12noon). Salary dependent on experience with paid overtime.
