Pawsitive Vet Care Calendar Competition
Could your pet be a 2027 Calendar Star?
We’re creating an A4 wall calendar featuring photographs of pets from our local community, with £5 from every £10 calendar sold donated to Greatfield Small Animal Rescue.
To enter, visit our Facebook page and add your photograph as a comment beneath the original calendar competition post. Landscape photographs are preferred for the month pages and portrait photographs for the front cover.
Entries close at 11.59pm on Tuesday 29 September 2026. Please read the full terms and conditions below before submitting your photograph.
Terms and Conditions
1. The Organiser
The Pawsitive Vet Care 2027 Calendar Photo Competition is organised by Pawsitive Vet Care Limited (“Pawsitive Vet Care”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
The competition is being run to select photographs for the Pawsitive Vet Care 2027 A4 wall calendar. Calendars will be sold for £10, with £5 from every calendar sold donated to Greatfield Small Animal Rescue.
2. Who can enter
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
You do not need to be a registered client of Pawsitive Vet Care to enter. However, where our team considers two photographs equally suitable for a place in the calendar or on the cover shortlist, we may give priority to a pet registered with Pawsitive Vet Care at the closing date.
Employees of Pawsitive Vet Care and their immediate families may submit photographs, but their entries will not be eligible for the public vote unless we state otherwise.
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter.
3. How to enter
To enter, add a photograph of your pet as a comment underneath the original calendar competition post on the official Pawsitive Vet Care Facebook page.
Please include your pet’s name. You may also include a short description of their personality.
A person may enter more than one pet.
You may submit up to two photographs of each pet: one landscape photograph for consideration for a month page and one portrait photograph for consideration for the front cover. If only one photograph is submitted, we may consider it for either purpose where its orientation and composition are suitable.
Entries must be posted by 11.59pm on Tuesday 29 September 2026. Entries submitted after the closing time may not be considered.
Entries posted beneath shared copies of the competition post may be missed and will not form part of the official vote. Please enter using the original post on the Pawsitive Vet Care Facebook page.
4. Photograph requirements
By submitting a photograph, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You took the photograph yourself or have permission from the photographer to submit it and grant the permissions set out in these terms.
- You have permission from the pet’s owner if the animal does not belong to you.
- The photograph does not infringe another person’s copyright, privacy or other rights.
- The photograph does not contain a watermark, business logo or material owned by somebody else.
- Any person identifiable in the photograph has agreed to its submission and use. We strongly recommend submitting photographs containing pets only.
- The photograph was obtained safely and does not depict animal distress, unsafe handling or activity that could reasonably compromise an animal’s welfare.
- The information supplied with the entry is accurate.
We may remove or exclude an entry that does not meet these requirements or that we consider offensive, inappropriate, unsafe or unsuitable for publication.
Landscape photographs are strongly preferred for the twelve month pages. Portrait photographs are strongly preferred for the front cover.
Please bear in mind that photographs may need to be cropped to fit the calendar layout. Images with some clear space around the pet are therefore more likely to be suitable than very tightly cropped photographs.
The image posted in the Facebook comments does not initially need to be the original full-resolution file. However, entrants must be able to provide the original, high-resolution photograph if their entry is selected or shortlisted.
5. Selection of month photographs and the front cover
After entries close, the Pawsitive Vet Care team will select the photographs to appear on the twelve month pages of the calendar.
The team may consider:
- Image quality and suitability for printing.
- Composition and landscape orientation.
- The character and visual appeal of the photograph.
- Seasonal suitability.
- The range of species represented.
- The overall variety and balance of the completed calendar.
- Whether all competition requirements have been met.
The team will also select a small number of portrait-format photographs as finalists for the front cover.
The front-cover finalists will be published in a separate voting post on the official Pawsitive Vet Care Facebook page. We will announce the opening and closing times of the vote and explain how votes should be cast.
Only reactions placed on the finalist photographs in the original voting post during the stated voting period will be counted. Comments, reactions on shared posts and reactions received before or after the voting period will not be included.
The eligible finalist receiving the highest number of valid reactions will normally be selected for the front cover. We may disregard votes that we reasonably believe are automated, purchased, duplicated, fraudulent or otherwise manipulated.
If the winning photograph cannot be supplied in sufficient quality, we cannot contact the entrant, the entrant withdraws, or the photograph is otherwise unsuitable for printing, we may select the finalist with the next-highest number of valid votes.
A pet selected for a month page may also be shortlisted for the front cover. The cover photograph may therefore also appear inside the calendar.
Where our team considers two entries equally suitable during the selection of the month photographs or cover finalists, we may give priority to a pet registered with Pawsitive Vet Care at the closing date.
The team’s decisions about the month pages, cover shortlist, entry eligibility, image suitability and validity of votes will be final.
6. High-resolution images
Photographs initially submitted in Facebook comments do not need to be the full-resolution files.
If your photograph is shortlisted or selected, we will contact you using Facebook or the contact details available to us and ask you to provide the original, high-resolution image by a stated deadline.
Please do not enlarge a small photograph artificially or send a screenshot or social-media download if the original file is available.
If we cannot contact you, do not receive the original file by the deadline, or determine that the image is not suitable for printing, we may select another photograph.
Selection is not final until we have received and approved the original image.
7. Permission to use photographs
You retain ownership of your photograph.
By entering, you grant Pawsitive Vet Care a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to reproduce, crop, resize, edit and use the submitted photograph:
- In the Pawsitive Vet Care 2027 calendar.
- In posts and materials promoting the calendar and fundraising campaign.
- On Pawsitive Vet Care’s website and social-media accounts.
- In Pawsitive Vet Care’s own future printed and digital promotional materials.
Reasonable editing may include cropping, resizing, colour correction, adding text, adding the Pawsitive Vet Care logo and adapting the image to fit different layouts. We will not deliberately alter the photograph in a misleading or derogatory way.
Pawsitive Vet Care will not sell or license the photograph itself to another business or organisation. This does not prevent us from:
- Selling the completed calendar.
- Giving calendars to local businesses or other organisations.
- Supplying calendars to approved locations for sale.
- Sharing promotional materials featuring the calendar.
- Providing the image to printers, designers or other service providers where reasonably necessary to produce or promote the calendar.
No fee or royalty will be payable for the use of a submitted or selected photograph.
Where practical, we may identify the pet by name. We are not obliged to name or credit the photographer.
If you ask us to stop using your photograph before the calendar is sent to print, we will take reasonable steps to do so. Once calendars or other printed materials have been produced or distributed, we cannot recall them. A withdrawal request will not affect materials already published, printed or distributed, but we will consider requests concerning future promotional use.
8. Calendar sales and donation
The finished A4 wall calendar will be offered for sale at £10 per copy.
Pawsitive Vet Care will donate at least £5 to Greatfield Small Animal Rescue for every calendar sold. The remaining £5 will contribute towards design, printing, transaction and distribution costs.
Calendars supplied free of charge for promotional or display purposes will not generate a £5 donation because they have not been sold.
Buying a calendar is optional. Having a photograph selected does not create an obligation to purchase a calendar, and inclusion does not automatically entitle the entrant to a free copy unless Pawsitive Vet Care confirms otherwise.
The competition and calendar are organised by Pawsitive Vet Care. Greatfield Small Animal Rescue will benefit from the stated donation but is not responsible for running the competition, selecting photographs or fulfilling calendar orders.
9. Changes or cancellation
We may amend the timetable, voting arrangements or other administrative details where reasonably necessary. Any significant change will be announced on the Pawsitive Vet Care Facebook page.
We reserve the right to cancel the competition or calendar project if circumstances outside our reasonable control make it impractical to continue. If this happens, no entrant will be entitled to compensation.
The appearance, print quality and availability of the finished calendar will depend on the photographs submitted, final design and printing arrangements.
10. Facebook and Instagram
This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta.
By entering, each participant releases Facebook, Instagram and Meta from responsibility for the administration of the competition, to the extent permitted by law.
Information submitted for the competition is being provided to Pawsitive Vet Care, not to Facebook, Instagram or Meta.
11. Personal Information
We will use entrants’ names, social-media profile information, contact details and messages as necessary to administer the competition, contact selected entrants, produce and promote the calendar, maintain appropriate records and respond to queries.
We will not add entrants to a marketing mailing list merely because they entered the competition.

By submitting a photograph, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
If you do not agree to grant the permissions described above, please do not enter the competition.
